From Mumbai to Melbourne
Abhimanyu Sharma began his photographic journey over a decade ago, driven by a fascination with unscripted human emotion. What started as a passion for documenting the vibrant celebrations of India evolved into an internationally acclaimed career.
After establishing himself as one of India's most decorated wedding photographers, Abhimanyu brought his craft to Australia, now based in Vermont, Victoria. His documentary approach — capturing moments as they unfold rather than orchestrating them — quickly resonated with Melbourne's multicultural community.
Today, he holds the distinction of being a Canon Ambassador and Mentor, has been nominated eight times for Wedding Photographer of the Year, and has earned over 100 international and domestic awards. He serves as a juror for This is Reportage and Fearless Photographers, shaping the standards of documentary wedding photography worldwide.
